Nelson, Mona Susan Power, Donald Montileaux, and Larissa FastHorse.
Find a book to read with a group! Wówapi Bags feature books by Oceti Sakowin authors. Each Wówapi (book in Lakota) Bag has eight copies of the title, a book summary, a discussion guide, and a brief author biography. Additionally, the tote bags are designed by Oceti Sakowin artists. Clicking the link in the yellow banner above will bring up the library catalog with "wokini knowledge circle" in the search bar. Results for all materials in the Wokini Knowledge Circle will be displayed. Click on a title to find out more information.
To find results within the Wokini Knowledge Circle collection, keep this term in the search bar and add AND, OR, or NOT and then your keyword(s). Examples:
- AND -- For a search on books about horses, try: "wokini knowledge circle" AND horse
- NOT -- To search for horses but to exclude results about the person Crazy Horse, try: "wokini knowledge circle" AND horse NOT "crazy horse"
- OR -- If you wanted information about Crazy Horse or Sitting Bull, try: "wokini knowledge circle" AND (Crazy Horse OR Sitting Bull)
Another option is to use the Location filter, located on the left-hand side of the library catalog page. Drop down the Location menu and select "Wokini Knowledge Circle" and then click Apply Filter. This will bring back results for materials within the Wokini Knowledge Circle collection.
