South Dakota Education and Agriculture Conference on campus June 11-12

Together, education and agriculture can invest in a brighter future.

South Dakota State University and Ground Works Connect are partnering to host the second annual South Dakota Education and Agriculture Conference on June 11-12 at the Raven Precision Agriculture Center on campus.

Organizers plan to bring together the state's brightest, most innovative teachers and agricultural leaders for two engaging, interactive days to explore ways to creatively connect agriculture to education standards in elementary, middle and high school classrooms.

Participants will be eligible for one to two graduate credits or 1.7 continuing education units after full participation in the conference and completion of post-conference activities.

Registration is $50 for both days and $30 for one day attendance. The registration deadline is May 20.

Educators may be eligible for a stipend from the South Dakota Discovery Center and/or travel reimbursement from the South Dakota Soil Health Coalition if they attend the session on soil health and submit a reflection.
