South Dakota State University offers data storage, backup, and recovery options for faculty and staff. We do not offer recovery options for students.
Network Storage for Colleges and Departments
Colleges, as well as individual departments, have network storage available at no cost to them. The amount of storage is defined as 1 Gigabyte per person for the College level network share and 1 Gigabyte per person for the departmental share. Network storage spaces are backed up regularly and can be recovered should an issue arise.
Network Storage for Faculty and Staff
Individual network storage is available for each employee at South Dakota State University. The current space allocated for faculty and staff is 5 Gigabytes. Network storage spaces are backed up regularly and can be recovered should an issue arise.
Cloud Storage for Faculty, Staff, and Students
South Dakota State University provides access to two cloud-based storage systems.
- Box Storage Accounts give you access to unlimited storage. Box storage allows you to collaborate with others by allowing you to share files and folders. Box can be accessed at sdsu.box.com.
