Biography

Hankui Zhang is a Scientist in Geospatial Sciences Center of Excellence (GSCE) and an Assistant Professor in Department of Geography and Geospatial Sciences at SDSU. He got his PhD in 2013 from the Chinese University of Hong Kong supervised by Dr. Bo Huang with thesis topic on satellite image fusion. His current research focuses on mainly making medium resolution satellite ready to use and involves many fundamental Landsat satellite data processing such as cloud mask, BRDF correction, composite, and harmonization with other sensors such as Sentinel-2. He is also doing research for land cover classification for operational use. He is Co-I in the Landsat Science Team.
He has published >40 SCI papers and serves as an Editorial Board member of Remote Sensing of Environment and Remote Sensing.
