Brookings Chamber Music Society announces 2023-24 season
The Brookings Chamber Music Society has announced its 2023-24 season and fall membership drive. Allied closely with the South Dakota State University School of Performing Arts, the society’s mission is to present the finest in chamber music for the enjoyment of the Brookings community.
Reynolds, friends to present chamber music faculty recital
The South Dakota State University School of Performing Arts presents David Reynolds and Friends in a chamber music faculty recital at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall.
SDSU’s Ness School of Management and Economics establishes Ness School Downtown
South Dakota State University’s Ness School of Management and Economics has established Ness School Downtown, an outpost located at Startup Sioux Falls, 100 E. Sixth St. Through a partnership with Startup, the Ness School will use the outpost to host speakers’ series, workshops and career fairs, facilitate career coaching and academic advising, and otherwise serve as a point of contact with stakeholders in the metro area.
DeGraff to present faculty recital
Anna DeGraff, an instructor of applied voice and music appreciation at South Dakota State University, will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, in Founders Recital Hall at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center.
Researchers study SDSU's AiR program
Artist-in-Residence (AiR) programs are commonplace at universities across the country and provide artists ample time to create and explore their work. Recently, researchers at South Dakota State University took an in-depth look at the School of Design’s AiR program to learn what impact it may have on the creative behaviors of art and STEM major students.

Recent Lincoln High School graduate Emma Forster of Sioux Falls has been named the 2023 South Dakota High School Journalist of the Year.
