Site: Rapid City

Semester: Two

Organizations that I am involved in: I am involved in the South Dakota State University ambassador program and I help out with the SDSU Student Nursing Association as much as I can.

Advice for fellow students: Nursing is challenging; however, it is one of the most rewarding profession’s and career’s to be a part of! If you work hard, put in the effort and follow your passion, you will learn that as you are growing through this experience. Your passion is also growing to become a nurse. Your classmates and faculty become like family to you, they are all there to help you succeed and watch you grow through this once in a lifetime experience!

Future Goals: I want to further my nursing education and become a general family nurse practitioner or specialize in gastrointestinal diseases.

Why do I want to be a nurse: I choose nursing because I have always wanted a career that was challenging, interesting, and makes a difference in people’s lives every day. I also love that the nursing field has a wide variety of specializations that you can pursue, and gives you many opportunities to grow in the field.

Hometown: Rapid City

Anything Else I would like to share: Never give up on your passions and ambitions no matter how hard you have to work for them. You can and will get through this, and soon enough you will be living the dream that you have always dreamed of! Don’t give up, you got this!

Go Jacks!!
