Advice for fellow students: Whenever you get overwhelmed or stressed, take time to reflect on what attracted you to the nursing profession. Strive to be a lifelong learner. As nursing is ever-evolving, we must grow and learn to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.

Future Goals: I have accepted a job at Avera McKennan on 1 West- Surgical/Trauma. I hope to gain vital lessons and a strong foundation in nursing before returning to a rural community. I desire to return to school to obtain a degree as a nurse practitioner.

Why do you want to be a nurse: I yearn to act on my passion of caring and healing others. Nursing recognizes the whole body as physical, emotional, and mental. This recognition allows nurses to provide patient-centered care through compassion and truth.
